#Qualification

CUA60120 - Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance). Delivered over one year, full-time.

This nationally recognised qualification takes a holistic approach to building the skills and experience required for a sustainable career in dance.

Led by a team of industry professionals, the course provides excellence in training and performance with four pillars of focus:

Creative Practice / students will expand their understanding of creative practice and develop their unique artistic voices through exposure to a broad range of choreographic processes including improvisation and task work. Understanding and experiencing collaboration, and the associated skills, will be key to their development.

Physical Practice / students will develop and refine their skills in a variety of contemporary and classical techniques, bolstered by conditioning and somatic practices. Through the pursuit of excellence, the training will create skilful, versatile and dynamic dance artists.
Sustainable Practice / students will gain the skills required to be ‘industry ready’ in the current and future arts landscape. Wellbeing, resilience and creative capability will be prioritised alongside practical skills in producing, arts administration and art form advocacy.

Multidisciplinary Practice / students will work across a range of mediums and environments to develop their skills in creating for and collaborating within digital, site-specific and non-traditional settings.
Performance outcomes are embedded in the program. As well as their own dedicated performance season, students will have opportunities to understudy/perform in ADC Mainstage seasons and access to ADC's Artistic team, Company Artists as well guest choreographers and creatives for ADC seasons.
