Jake McLarnon

Teaching Artist


Born in Perth, Jake McLarnon completed his training at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Upon graduating, he joined Australian Dance Theatre for its European tour of Garry Stewart's Proximity. Other highlights included performing Be Yourself and Birdbrain. 

He first performed with Australasian Dance Collective as a guest artist for the remount of When Time Stops before returning to Australian Dance Theatre to perform Objekt.

McLarnon became an Australasian Dance Collective company member in 2016 under the direction of Natalie Weir, performing in works such as Behind Closed Doors, Mozart Airborne, 4Seasons, Matrix, Arc and Aftermath. 
As a choreographer, Jake created a work for the 2017 Tenerife Festival collaborating artist Matt Sheridan and TWFine Art.

Other choreographic works include Isochronism for Australasian Dance Collective's Converge (a collaboration with Queensland Conservatorium) and shift for Australasian Dance Collective's Youth Ensemble.
