A graduate of the Australian Ballet School, Jaime enjoyed a professional dance career of over 20 years, performing with The Australian Ballet and Queensland Ballet as a Principal Dancer, and with Expressions Dance Company as a Senior Artist.

As a choreographer Jaime has created extensively, with original dance works for dance companies, tertiary institutions and arts festivals. Recently he has developed a strong collaboration with Griffith University Film School creating choreography for New York Counterpoint and Divieto D’Affissione Virtual Production short films, which were presented at the Brisbane Arts Festival in 2022 and 2023 respectively. This collaboration led to an invitation by Griffith Film School to write and teach a course, Choreography for Film, a first for Griffith Film School.
Over an 18-year period, Jaime held positions as Head of Dance at LASALLE College of The Arts, Singapore (now part of Singapore University) and Head of Contemporary Dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In recent years Jaime has focussed on the health and wellbeing aspects of dance with adults, seniors and all access dance classes.

Jaime is an Associate Professor and holds a Masters in Fine Arts from QUT, majoring in Choreography and a Masters in Education from the University of Hong Kong, focussing on collaborative alliances, training and research in Dance.
