About
Danny Harley is a prolific producer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and label owner hailing from Brisbane. Under his moniker The Kite String Tangle, he’s achieved a string of Gold certified releases and awards whilst being a prolific collaborator including recent work with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Fat Boy Slim (UK), Clozee (France), Dustin Tebbutt, Lastlings and Woodes.
As he seeks to explore his experimental side outside of The Kite String Tangle, Harley will draw on inspiration from his recent Berlin residency to create an innovative collaboration with Australasian Dance Collective.

Upon winning the Grant McLennan Fellowship, Harley embarked on a four-month placement in Berlin where he immersed himself in the vibrant city, further tapping into his eclectic influences and experimenting with new sounds, artforms and recording techniques.
An alumni of the Queensland Conservatorium, Harley originally broke out with adored singles Arcadia and Given The Chance as The Kite String Tangle, and has gone on to sell out headline shows across Australia, North America and the UK alongside appearances at world-renowned festivals including Coachella, Splendour In The Grass and Primavera to name a few.
