About
My name is Trae Allen, I’m a Gomeroi and Bundjalung Goori man. I’m a cultural and contemporary dancer, started the study of dance in 2015 to 2017 in Brisbane at the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts and one year in Sydney at Sydney Dance Company doing their Pre-professional course in 2018
I’ve been a cultural dancer all my life, getting the chance to perform in front of thousands at festivals, schools, art events, as well as political events.

Opportunities with contemporary dancing at art installations (“Breathe” 2018, 2021 and “First sound, last sound in All in Life” 2020 – Mel O’Callaghan), movie production and an overseas event (“Home Away” 2016) in Glasgow, Scotland.
We acknowledge the First Nations people as the Traditional Owners of Meanjin (Brisbane).
Australasian Dance Collective acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their deep connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
