About
Bella Hood is a dynamic artist, seamlessly blending performance, choreography, and teaching within the Australian dance scene. As co-founder of kin, the Sunshine Coast's principal dance company, and a former company dancer at Australasian Dance Collective, she's made a lasting impact with notable works such as “Four Seasons” and “Matrix.” Bella's choreographic ability shines in pieces like "ECLIPSE" and “Subject to Change,” reflecting her creative residencies at 2nd Space (Project24), The Farm (Gold Coast), and collaborations with RB Corp Instruction.
Beyond performance, Bella engages in film collaborations like Griffith University’s "NY Counterpoint" and Claire Marshall’s "Permutations," expanding her creative repertoire. With Honours in Fine Arts (Dance Performance) from Queensland University of Technology and diverse training in yoga, Zenthai Shiatsu therapy, and nutrition, Bella's holistic approach resonates in her teaching. As a Teaching Artist at Australasian Dance Collective and various QLD institutions, she imparts expertise with passion and precision.

Awarded a Gifted Grant and a 12-month residency at 2nd Space (Sunshine Coast), Bella continues shaping contemporary dance, marked by choreographic honours, scholarships, and ongoing exploration in her role as a contemporary artist and dedicated dance educator.
