Aurora Liddle-Christie

Guest Company Artist

Aurora Liddle-Christie is a Magan-djin-based multidisciplinary artist of Arrernte, Jamaican, Irish, and Scottish settler descent. Her practice explores regeneration as a process of reclaiming ancestry, liberation, and healing, particularly in relation to self, the collective, and nature. Aurora's performance, music, and spoken word delve into her personal experiences, using metaphor, faith, and place-based storytelling to explore the threshold of metamorphosis.

Aurora graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queensland University of Technology and trained with the physical theatre company Zen Zen Zo, where she also performed. She has collaborated with numerous local companies and organisations, most recently developing her performance work Growing Back with the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

We acknowledge the First Nations people as the Traditional Owners of Meanjin (Brisbane).

Australasian Dance Collective acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their deep connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
