Amri­ta Hepi (b.1989 Townsville of Bundjulung/Ngapuhi territories) is a choreographer and artist working with dance through performance, video, installation and objects. Amrita creates work that considers the body’s relationship to personal histories, hybridity under empire and the bodily archive. Amrita is a two time winner of the People’s choice award as part of the Keir choreographic competition, FBI Sydney’s 2019 Best Artist - an artist with a broad reach and following she has shown work in nightclubs to institutions nationally/internationally. Amrita is represented by Anna Schwartz.
